Papers, grants, talks, and the people I get to work with.
Secured funding as co-Investigator on the NIH R21 grant βMolecular Mechanisms of CbrA Transceptor Signaling in Pseudomonasβ (with Dr. Ben Orlando).
Our paper on the structure and conformational dynamics of the transceptor CbrXA β with mechanistic insight into histidine transport β has been resubmitted to Protein Science (March 2026). My first co-corresponding-author paper with the Orlando lab (bioRxiv preprint).
ACRES-REU student Nolan French (Western Kentucky University) joins the group to work on weighted-ensemble-driven ab-initio simulations for Summer 2026.
Nathan Emeott and Aadhyaa Gauli joined as Pathway-to-Research undergraduate fellows (March 2026).
Secured undergraduate research funding through the Pathway-to-Research program (Office of Undergraduate Education, MSU).
Submitted a paper on the conformational-dynamics-driven allosteric activation of neurolysin to the Biophysical Journal (November 2025).
Submitted a paper on the discovery of novel allosteric activators of neurolysin to The Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (September 2025).
Published a paper on building merging-bias-corrected Markov state models from weighted-ensemble simulation data in the Journal of Chemical Theory and Computation (February 2025).
Delivered a selected talk on neurolysin activator discovery at the ACS Fall Meeting, Washington, DC (August 2025), and presided over two sessions on Machine Learning in Chemistry.
Presented a poster on merging-bias-corrected Markov modeling at the Midwest Theoretical and Computational Chemistry Symposium, Wayne State University, Detroit (June 2025).
Submitted my first NIH proposal as a co-investigator with Dr. Benjamin J. Orlando.
Neuroscience major Jason Gilbert joined as an undergraduate research assistant (May 2025).
Joined as a Fixed-Term Assistant Professor in the Department of Computational Mathematics, Science and Engineering at Michigan State University (August 2024).
Began teaching Computational Medicine and Matrix Algebra with Computational Applications at MSU.
